2010 HANDBOOK Health: 1. Drink plenty of water. 2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar. 3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants. 4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy. 5. Make time to pray. 6. Play more games. 7. Read more books than you did in 2009. 8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. 9. Sleep for 7 hours. 10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile. Personality: 11. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. 12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment. 13. Don't over do. Keep your limits. 14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does. 15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip. 16. Dream more while you are awake. 17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. 18. Forget issues of the past. Of Course It Has!?!

My life has continued 2 blaze along @ Warp Speed as things are cranking up. On the work front…, I believe the Kid Gloves are finally coming off & they are starting 2 lean heavily on The Kidd*** 2 produce some hard results.

They’ve gotten me involved with Safety Audits this week. I was in Harrison Monday, Summit 2day, & I’m scheduled to go to the Elizabeth Electric District Thursday 2 observe their process. Vince is going 2 Italy for 2 weeks so all those things he’s responsible 4 are going to slide onto my desk. Please…, I am up 4 The Challenge!!!

Musically saw the band get an 11^th hour call 2 head down to Sixty Park in Newark 2 meet the Promoter who’s working on doing live music every Thursday. The had a killer band there & when they asked for Bday shoutouts (Tasha’s Bday was that upcoming Saturday) they asked us 2 take the bandstand.

Well what better way 2 advertise yo skills than 2 whip it on them when they ask 4 it??? We did a slick rendition of “The Long Walk” & from the crowd response I’m Xpecting a call from Big Mike 2 put us on the bill somewhere in the future…

Also doing some Xperimenting in The Studio with recording the band. We had someone shoot video of us awhile back so you can see how we act… Now working on recording ourselves as I LQQK 2 dabble into some CD production. It’s a work in progress…, but they R getting a kick out of it. So I’m on the right track…

Personal is hectic but in a stay sharp kind of way. Nothing so negative & detrimental that it’s going 2 bring me down. But I must stay focused, keep my eye on the prize, & continue 2 pace & bless myself as I maneuver through this minefield we call life.

This is the start of the 2^nd Quarter. The 1^st Quarter is over & done with & we’re coming up quickly on the 1^st six months of 2010!!! Where are you as far as you’re goals, your dreams, your hopes, & desires are concerned???

Trust me…, waiting around for that Big Miracle DOES NOT get it done. You must step to the table & put some plans in place to Make It Happen!!! I am not where I fully want 2 be…, but I’m working the plan as I continue down the path I feel I’m destined 2 pursue.

2day's Message: In this day and age, it's easy to become distracted, almost consumed with all the obligations we have on a daily basis. Cell phones, computers, the internet have all made it so much easier to pack more into our days. And while technology is a great blessing to us, we have to remember that how much we get done isn't as important as how we treat others. We should never be so focused on plowing through our "to do" list that we mistakenly plow past the people in our lives.

I love this verse in Ephesians that simply reminds us to be kind, to be compassionate, to be forgiving. This message should be called the “Al Jones Sr. Message!!!” I can definitely be guilty of that… I seem to jam pack my life with so many things that @ times it seems like it is bursting @ the seams… People often ask me why do I commit 2 so many things, so many projects, & so many people??? It’s simple… I have a very intense…, very creative…, slightly destructive…, & very deep personality… Truly the statement, “The Idle Mind Is The Playground 4 The Devil” seriously applies 2 me… If I don’t keep myself bizzy…, trust me…, I’ll fall into some mischief somewhere…

I know you will ask the question, why in the world would a reasonably intelligent (allegedly) man like myself do that??? It’s xtremely simple… 4 me…, I am a Thrill Seeker & a Risk Taker… The best parts of life 4 me R not when I’m resting, sedentary, & chilling… Although I make sure I get plenty of tyme 2 do that as I debrief, smell the roses, & take things down a notch… But it’s when my heart is pounding, my pulse is racing, & there is chaos/danger flowing all around me that I am in my element & thriving…

Last night was a classic… I got 24 coming on @ 9PM that I must watch, I got Tito from the Career Conference coming over 2 the house 4 the 1^st tyme @ 8PM so we could have some discussion, my cell phones rings just as he rings the doorbell, & we’re getting ready 2 have this dialog… Talk about your multi-tasking, prioritizing, fool… I had 2 push my call back…, get him in so we could have our discussion…, then get him out so I could settle in with 24!!!

Well…, how could I kick him out after we got started??? I invited him 2 the Conference because of his persistence… He shined while there, he gravitated 2 me, now I’m like his unofficial mentor, he is a bright, & likeable young man… He stayed until a lil’ after 10PM…, I missed ALL of 24…, so I had 2 get up early this morning, get myself 2gether in a hurry, & watch 24 on my PC this morning B4 work…

Cause you know I have 2 come 2 work this morning 2 have my 24 De-Brief Session with our custodian John (he loves me), just got off a 7:30AM Health & Safety Telecon, I have a 9AM meeting in Harrison, I’ll probably swing by Summit after that 2 say hello again 2 those folks because (yesterday my Boss formerly handed Harrison & Summit off 2 me), & I may have an opportunity 2 slide through Springfield 2 go C some of the folks I Really Love!!! Another Bizzy Bizzy Day!!!

Back 2 the message…, I am DEF trying 2 do a better JOB of staying connected 2 people in a more personable way rather than using technology… Hence the reason I let go & gave in so I could really absorb & spend Quality Tyme with Tito as opposed 2 just giving him lip service...

It is very hard 4 me because I am a Techy Type 4 Life!!! U know U can always hit me on the celly, shoot me a text, I am communicating 2 U now via email, so it’s ingrained into how I reach out & touch the world… But I’ve also learned I have 2 manage, value, & keep the synergies that real face-to-face dialog brings 2 us as human beings. Remember @ the end of the day we R “Social Creatures!!!” We require that interaction in order 2 B Holistically Whole!!! So don’t 4get 2 dive down deep every 1nce in awhile & truly immerse yourself in the Human Xperience!!! Peace, Love, & Blessings!!!

Finally forced me 2 sit down & watch them... Usually I can't sit through the whole production but I wanted 2 C a few folks... Lady Gaga killed it by bringing out Elton John & they did the duel piano thang... This chick is krazy like a fox as she is the "New Madonna" when it comes 2 reinventing herself & shocking her audience into subliminally loving her...

Pink blew my mind with 1st her outfit... Oh man I didn't know Baby had a lil' package working... But then when she did her Ringling Brothers Circus Aerial Act... It was by the far the slickest & craziest performance of the night... Other than those who knew..., it was AMAZING!!! New respect 4 this young lady...

Folks said Beyonce's performance was tame... I disagree... She basically showed U how visually she is the most beautiful woman in the game... Vocally, nobody can sing her songs the way she does... & even doing a mellow sensual dance she still is killing Every Other Chick In Da Game!!! Not 2 mention her All Girl Band just Choking The Music 2 Death!!!

The Taylor Swift chick should basically thank Kanye West 4 jacking her because let's be serious... No Way In Hell she deserved "Album Of The Year!!!" C’mon Son!!! She had some cute kiddy songs on it..., but we should B talking about groundbreaking works of art... If we talking purely record sales..., then okay she's in the conversation... But artistically??? Come On!!! & I am trying 2 B polite... Her live performance was luke warm @ best....

Then U got me flipping between the Pro Bowl (a nice shoot-out) & something else I was watching... Then making sure I caught the sensual scenes in my new show Spartacus!!! It’s action & lust all combined 2gether in an incredible mixxx… All that’s missing is incredible muzak… Not 2 mention “24” is on 2nite & it will B Spectacular!!!

I did take a trip 2 da movies to C Denzil Washington’s new flick “The Book Of Eli” & it’s a thought provoking movie… Of course after C’ying Avatar I’m hard pressed 2 like NE thing 4 a minute… But if U NJoy the power & impact of The Bible… It’s the type of movie that makes U think of mankind, society, & human xsistance a bit… Of course with a few twists & turns thrown into it… Denzil is back in Training Day form as he’s cold, confident, & deadly all over again…
